In collaboration with King’s College London, we are pleased to support a range of training courses for aviation medical examiners and healthcare workers interested in learning more about aerospace medicine.
Introduction to Aerospace Medicine Course.
This course introduces the medical and physiological aspects of aviation and space flight and comprises online lectures equivalent to one week of face-to-face teaching. Our Managing Director Dr David Newman, who is Visiting Professor of Aerospace Medicine at King’s College London, teaches the majority of this course. The next course is 11 August – 13 October, 2025.
Aircraft Accident Investigation Course
This 5-day in-person course is designed to give participants exposure to and training in the fundamental aspects of aircraft accident investigation. In particular, the course will focus on the medical and human factors aspects of aircraft accident investigation. Professor David Newman has been involved as an expert consultant to accident investigations around the world.
UK Diploma in Aviation Medicine
For aviation medical examiners and doctors wishing to undertake the UK Faculty of Occupational Medicine Diploma in Aviation Medicine exams (held March every year), we also offer a specific online course to help prepare for the exams. Please note that this is a self-directed online learning guide, and is not accredited with or by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine as an approved full-time training course (eg, such as the Diploma offered by King’s College London). Specialised Courses for Aviation Medicine Practitioners
We also offer a number of short, video-based courses on a variety of specialised aviation medicine topics of interest to aviation medicine practitioners.
